CTC Shanghai Co., Ltd. was established in 1993. Its predecessor was the Pudong Branch of the Shanghai Construction Engineering Quality Testing Center. It is now a subsidiary of China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. under China National Building Materials Group.

Qualifications

The company holds over 30 qualifications, including CMA, CNAS, and the Comprehensive Construction Engineering Quality Testing Qualification issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Its service capabilities cover the entire lifecycle of construction projects including housing construction, municipal transportation, highways, bridges and tunnels, railways, electric power, agriculture and forestry, water conservancy, civil air defense, fire protection, environmental protection, and energy conservation, as well as the entire process of planning, construction, production, sales, and upgrading for industrial and trade enterprises. Service offerings include inspection and testing, certification and evaluation, survey and design, monitoring and measurement, consulting and assessment, technology R&D, process supervision, and safety and environmental protection trusteeship.

Since its establishment, the company has built a technical research team comprising industry senior experts, professors, doctors and masters, and young technical leaders, and hosts an ISO international standard working group. It has undertaken over 40 research projects and received more than 20 science and technology awards at national, municipal (district), association, and group levels, including one First Prize of the China Standard Innovation Contribution Award. It has led or participated in the development of 7 international standards and dozens of national, local and industry standards, and has been granted over 40 patents. It is authorized as a postgraduate training and internship base for Shanghai Maritime University, Shanghai Polytechnic University, and Shanghai Institute of Technology, having jointly trained more than ten postgraduates. It has been successively recognized as a "Science and Technology Giant (Cultivation) Enterprise," a "Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise," a "Shanghai Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative SME," and a "Pudong New Area Enterprise R&D Institution."
