China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

China's kaolin industry has transitioned from primary processing to functional refining and product specialization, driven by the high-end demands of downstream industries. In the 1980s and 1990s, relying on high-quality kaolin resources in Jingdezhen (Jiangxi), Liling (Hunan), Maoming (Guangdong), and other regions, the industry focused on mining and simple washing. Products were mostly ordinary kaolin powder, used in basic fields like ceramic bodies, common paper fillers, and architectural coatings, characterized by low purity, high impurities (iron, titanium), and limited added value.
Since the turn of the century, demands from the upgrading of the ceramics industry, lightweight papermaking, and high-performance coatings, combined with stricter environmental policies, have driven the industry's transformation toward purification, ultra-fine processing, and surface modification. High purity is achieved through processes like magnetic separation, bleaching, and delamination. Ultra-fine grinding technologies overcome fineness limitations, leading to the development of ceramic-grade, paper-grade, and coating-grade kaolin products, enabling breakthroughs in applications such as high-end household ceramics, lightweight coated paper, and water-based industrial paints.
In recent years, high-end demands from new energy (lithium battery separator coatings, cathode material dispersants), semiconductors (polishing slurry raw material), and pharmaceuticals (pharmaceutical excipients) have emerged. Coupled with the evolution of relevant standards, the industry is accelerating its upgrade toward efficient resource utilization and high-end product customization. Today, China is the world's largest producer and consumer of kaolin, with products covering the full range: raw ore, water-washed kaolin, calcined kaolin, and modified kaolin. These are widely used in dozens of fields, including ceramics, papermaking, paints, new energy, and semiconductors.
We have set up a dedicated kaolin mineral testing team. Based on product type and application scenario (high-end ceramics, paper coating, lithium battery coating, semiconductor polishing), we provide customized testing services—including whiteness determination, fineness testing, purity analysis, impurity screening, and suspension properties—helping products build advantages in performance optimization and regulatory compliance.
