Pipe materials are essential in construction engineering. Commonly used types include water supply pipes, drainage pipes, gas pipes, heating pipes, electrical conduits, and rainwater pipes. With the advancement of science and technology, pipe materials used in home decoration have evolved through several stages: ordinary cast iron pipes → cement pipes (reinforced concrete pipes, asbestos cement pipes) → ductile iron pipes, galvanized steel pipes → plastic pipes and aluminum-plastic composite pipes. Pipe fittings are general term for components used in piping systems for connection, control, direction change, flow diversion, sealing, and support. They can be made of materials such as steel, stainless steel, and plastic. Structurally, they can be classified into butt-welding, socket-welding, threaded, and flanged types.
