China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

China's diatomite industry has transitioned from extensive resource utilization to refined activation and functional specialization, driven by the evolving demands for adsorption, filtration, and insulation in downstream industries. In the 1980s and 1990s, relying on high-quality diatomite resources in Changbai (Jilin), Tengchong (Yunnan), Shengzhou (Zhejiang), and other regions, the industry focused on mining and simple drying/crushing. Products were mostly ordinary diatomite powder (porosity ≤ 60%, specific surface area ≤ 15 m²/g), mainly used in basic fields such as beer filtration, common filter aids, and insulation materials, characterized by high impurity content, weak adsorption performance, and single function.
Since the turn of the century, demands from environmental treatment (exhaust gas purification), food/pharmaceuticals (precision filtration), and high-end building materials (functional wall finishes), and policy regulations (e.g., green mine construction standards), have driven the industry's transformation toward purification, calcination/activation, and modification for enhanced performance. High purity (SiO₂ content ≥ 85%) is achieved through processes like gravity separation and acid leaching. Technologies such as gradient calcination and surface modification increase porosity (≥ 80%) and adsorption activity (specific surface area ≥ 30 m²/g), leading to the development of high-adsorption, precision filtration, and lightweight insulation products, enabling breakthroughs in industrial exhaust treatment, pharmaceutical intermediate filtration, and diatomaceous earth wall finishes.
In recent years, high-end demands from new energy (separator support for lithium batteries, carrier for energy storage materials), environmental remediation (water eutrophication control), and high-end daily chemicals (adsorbent in facial masks) have emerged. Coupled with the evolution of standards, the industry is accelerating its upgrade toward efficient resource utilization and high-end product customization. Today, China is a leading global producer and consumer of diatomite, with products covering the full range: raw ore, refined diatomite, activated/modified diatomite, and finished diatomite products. These are widely used in dozens of fields, including environmental protection, food/pharmaceuticals, building materials, new energy, and daily chemicals.
We have set up a dedicated diatomite mineral testing team. Based on product type and application scenario (environmental adsorption, precision filtration, lithium battery support, daily chemical raw material), we provide customized testing services—including porosity determination, specific surface area measurement, adsorption capacity analysis, impurity screening (heavy metals, iron), and filtration accuracy testing—helping products build advantages in performance optimization and regulatory compliance.
