New Pollutant Testing

Emerging contaminants testing is specialized monitoring conducted in key regions, industrial sectors, and environmental media, targeting chemical substances characterized by biological toxicity, environmental persistence, and bioaccumulation. This is performed in accordance with the requirements of the national “Action Plan for Emerging Contaminants Governance” and the “List of Key Controlled Emerging Contaminants.” Leveraging advanced technologies such as high-resolution mass spectrometry, this service provides accurate identification and quantitative analysis of key controlled substances—including antibiotics, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and endocrine disruptors—in media such as water and soil. The goal is to determine the contamination baseline, assess environmental and health risks, and provide a scientific basis for source control, process management, and end-of-pipe regulation. It is a key technical support for building a robust ecological and environmental safety barrier.

Testing Scope

Covers various environmental media including water bodies (surface water, groundwater, drinking water sources, wastewater), air, soil, sediment, and biological organisms (biota).

Testing Items

According to the “List of Key Controlled Emerging Contaminants (2023 Edition)” issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, emerging contaminants primarily include four categories:

1. Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)

2. Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs)

3. Antibiotics

4. Microplastics
