Application Directions

1.  Air Pollution Prevention and Control Projects: Projects related to coal-fired pollution control, comprehensive boiler treatment, industrial pollution control, mobile source pollution control, atmospheric environment monitoring and supervision capacity building, demonstration projects for new air pollution prevention and control technologies, and other important matters assigned by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council.

2.  Water Pollution Prevention and Control Projects: Protection of centralized drinking water sources, river basin water pollution control, river basin water ecological protection and restoration, groundwater ecological environment protection, water ecological environment supervision capacity building, demonstration projects for new water pollution prevention and control technologies, and projects supported by coordinated river basin ecological compensation reward funds.

3.  Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Projects: Source prevention of soil pollution, soil pollution status monitoring and investigation, soil pollution risk control and remediation, reform and innovation in soil pollution prevention and control management, soil pollution prevention and control projects needed to respond to environmental emergencies, and other projects closely related to the improvement of soil environmental quality. Demonstration projects for new technologies are encouraged.

4.  Rural Environment Improvement Projects: Rural domestic sewage treatment, rural black and odorous water body remediation, protection of rural drinking water source areas, water source conservation and ecological belt construction, as well as rural domestic waste treatment.
