China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

As a sedimentary rock formed from metamorphosed carbonate rocks, the composition of marble directly determines its performance characteristics and application scenarios. The industry's development has always centered on the precise analysis of its composition. In the 1980s and 1990s, composition studies on marble were limited to rough determination of total carbonate content. Relying on resources from Dali (Yunnan Province), Shuitou (Fujian Province), and other areas, only simple chemical titration was used to estimate CaCO₃ content. Without in-depth analysis of impurity components such as dolomite, silica, and iron compounds, products often suffered from issues like efflorescence on decorative surfaces and insufficient strength, limiting their use mainly to common building cladding.
Since the turn of the century, the demand for color uniformity in high-end decoration and weather resistance in outdoor projects, coupled with the implementation of relevant norms, has driven the transformation of compositional analysis toward precise quantification of all components. Techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) enable accurate determination of key components, including the calcite/dolomite ratio, silica (SiO₂), iron oxides (Fe₂O₃), and magnesia (MgO). Based on these analyses, specialized products have been developed, such as low-silica stain-resistant type, high-calcium high-strength type, and low-iron high-whiteness type, enabling breakthroughs in applications like airport terminal flooring, outdoor sculptures, and high-end furniture veneers.
In recent years, the demand for traceability of rare mineral inclusions in cultural stone, and strict controls on radioactive elements (Ra, Th, K) for green building materials, coupled with evolving standards, have extended compositional analysis to full-spectrum mineral phase identification, hazardous element screening, and genetic traceability. Currently, China's marble compositional analysis technology covers the entire chain—from raw material exploration and production quality control to application matching—capable of precisely characterizing compositional differences from common beige marble (calcite ≥ 95%) to high-end white marble (statuary marble), providing essential support for product selection and quality management in construction, culture/creativity, landscaping, and other fields.
Our dedicated marble rock composition analysis team provides customized services—qualitative/quantitative mineral composition, major/minor element detection, hazardous impurity screening—for exploration, production, and application scenarios, enabling precise matching of composition and performance.
