China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

China's talc industry has transitioned from primary processing to deep utilization alongside the upgrading of downstream industries. In the 1980s and 1990s, relying on abundant high-quality talc resources in Liaoning, Shandong, and other regions, the industry focused on mining and primary grinding. Products were mostly ordinary talc powder (fineness ≤ 325 mesh), mainly used in basic fields like ceramic glazes, architectural coatings, and rubber fillers, characterized by low purity (talc content ≤ 85%), single function, and limited added value.
Since the turn of the century, the demand for upgraded performance from industries such as plastics modification, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, combined with stricter environmental policies, has driven the industry's transformation toward purification, ultra-fine grinding, surface modification, and functional customization. High purity (talc content ≥ 98%) has been achieved through flotation and impurity removal. Ultra-fine grinding has achieved fineness levels of 5000 mesh or more. High-end products like surface-modified talc powder, pharmaceutical-grade talc powder, and cosmetic-grade talc powder have been developed, enabling breakthroughs in applications such as plastic reinforcement, skin feel regulation in cosmetics, and pharmaceutical excipients.
In recent years, high-end demands for lithium battery separator coatings and high-end papermaking have surged. Coupled with the evolution of standards (GB/T 15341 for talc, GB/T 15342 for talc powder, GB/T 15344 for physical test methods), the industry is accelerating its upgrade toward efficient resource utilization and high-end product differentiation. Today, China is the world's largest producer and exporter of talc, with products covering the full spectrum: raw ore, ordinary talc powder, ultra-fine modified talc powder, pharmaceutical-grade talc, and more. These are widely used in dozens of fields, including plastics, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, and new energy.
We have set up a dedicated talc mineral testing team. Based on product type and application scenario (plastic filler, cosmetic raw material, pharmaceutical excipient, lithium battery coating), we provide customized testing services—including purity analysis, fineness testing, whiteness determination, surface modification effect evaluation, and pharmaceutical compliance—helping products build advantages in performance optimization and regulatory compliance.
