As an emerging contaminant, the potential threat of perchlorate to human health and the ecological environment cannot be ignored. In 2022, the National Health Commission released the "Standards for Drinking Water Quality" (GB 5749-2022), which includes perchlorate as a controlled inorganic pollutant for the first time, setting a limit of 70 μg/L . For adults, continuous intake of perchlorate may induce bone marrow hematopoietic cell dysplasia. For infants and young children, excessive perchlorate intake may lead to serious consequences such as lower IQ, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
