The Glass Division of CTC comprises the Beijing Base and the Qinhuangdao Base. It operates two national-level centers (National Center for Quality Inspection and Testing of Glass, National Center for Quality Inspection and Testing of Safety Glass and Quartz Glass) and one industry-level center (National Center for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Evaluation of Electronic Glass and Smart Glass (Devices) of the Building Materials Industry). Its service scope includes inspection and testing of glass and related materials, certification and evaluation, testing technology research and development, and scientific research and standardization. It is committed to building a world-class comprehensive inspection and certification technical service institution for the glass industry at home and abroad, and creating a high-quality, high-level professional service brand under CTC.

Core Business - Beijing Base

The company's core business covers multiple segments: The inspection and testing business can conduct testing of automotive glass, architectural glass, rail transit glass, aviation glass, photovoltaic glass, electronic glass, marine glass, smart display glass, doors, windows and curtain walls, various functional films, paint protection films, and other products. It also provides homogenization certification for tempered glass and homogenization furnace inspection services. The verification business relies on six climate testing stations in Hainan, Turpan, Mohe, Zhangjiakou, Weihai, and Beijing to conduct verification testing of architectural glass and film materials under multiple environmental conditions. The certification and evaluation business provides services including CCC compulsory certification testing for safety glass, CTC voluntary product certification, various types of management system certification, green manufacturing evaluation, green product and green building material certification, environmental declarations, carbon footprint, insulating glass energy efficiency, fire-resistant glass, and paint protection film evaluation. In terms of scientific research and standardization, it has undertaken dozens of national and provincial/ministerial key research and development projects, won nearly 10 science and technology awards, led the publication of over 100 national, industry, and local standards, led the development of 6 international standards, and participated in the development of 3 international standards. It also conducts research and development and sales of testing instruments, turnkey laboratory construction, and provides technical services such as enterprise quality inspection system establishment and testing personnel training. It has provided technical support for major projects such as Beijing Daxing International Airport, the Beijing Winter Olympics, Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, Belt and Road projects, and domestic large aircraft, and has undertaken product quality supervision and random inspection tasks at various levels.

Core Business - Qinhuangdao Base

The testing scope covers four major categories: glass and its products, supporting materials for processed glass, window films and paint protection films, and material composition and hazardous substances. Glass and its products include flat glass, tempered glass, fire-resistant glass, safety glass for various transportation fields, insulating glass, laminated glass, coated glass, switchable glass, photovoltaic glass, shower room glass, building energy-saving and curtain wall glass, civil decorative mirrors, and filmed glass. Materials for processed glass include various sealants for insulating glass, sealing gaskets, desiccants, spacers, various interlayers for laminated glass, and glass enamels. Window films and paint protection films include architectural functional films, automotive sunshade films, automotive glass functional films, and automotive paint protection films. It can conduct chemical analysis of soda-lime-silica glass, siliceous glass raw materials, and borosilicate glass, as well as testing of hazardous substance limits and silver and copper content in glass mirrors. It also deeply engages in testing technology research and development, providing new testing methods, new equipment, and complete laboratory technical solutions.
